This CPB is revised to state that acupuncture point injection (also known as acupoint injection therapy, biopuncture) is considered experimental and investigational for the following indications: amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, cancer-related pain, cervical spondylosis, chronic daily headache, dysmenorrhea (menstrual pain), lateral elbow pain (tennis elbow), and all other indications.
