This CPB has been revised to state that adaptive servo-ventilation (ASV) is considered medically necessary in persons with obstructive sleep apnea when criteria are met. This CPB is revised to state that nasal surgery (any technique) and transpalatal advancement pharyngoplasty are considered experimental and investigational for the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea.
