This CPB has been revised to state that FDA-approved hypoglossal nerve neurostimulation (i.e. Inspire II System, Inspire 3028 for Upper Airway Stimulation (UAS) Therapy) is considered medically necessary for the treatment of moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea when all criteria are met. This CPB has been revised to state that drug-induced sleep endoscopy (DISE) is considered medically necessary to evaluate appropriateness of FDA-approved hypoglossal nerve stimulation when all of the criteria for hypoglossal nerve stimulation are met.
