This CPB has been revised to state that Aetna considers Lupron and Zoladex (goserelin) experimental and investigational for preservation (suppression) of ovarian function or testicular function during chemotherapy because their effectiveness for these indications has not been established. This policy is based upon guidelines from the American Society for Clinical Oncology.
