This CPB is revised to define absolute iron defiency as a serum ferritin < 30 ng/mL or transferrin saturation (TSAT) < 15% (obtained within the last 30 days) and functional iron deficiency as a serum ferritin < 100 ng/mL and TSAT < 20% (obtained within the last 30 days).
